From American Academy of Nurse Practitioners:
YOUR HELP IS GREATLY NEEDED!! ORDERING HOME HEALTH CARE BILL (S227/HR2267) IS STILL PENDING.
Time is running out. If you have not contacted your senators and representatives to ask them to take steps to get this bill passed, please act now. Go to the AANP Advocacy Center on the AANP website home page and pull up the letters regarding S227 and HR2267. Follow the instructions and send. IT ONLY TAKES A MINUTE, or call their offices and ask them to help get this legislation passed. IT ONLY TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES.
If you have not contacted your legislators in the past month, then it is time to DO IT AGAIN. Only you can make this happen. Urge them to ask their leadership to include the provisions of these bills in any final Medicare or budget agreement. Frequent calls are okay. For further information, clink the links below.
What is the Home Health Planning Improvement Act of 2011?
It Only Takes a Few Minutes to Take Action!
I have heard that this passed recently and does allow Nurse Practitioners to order and manage patients in Home Health care. I would love to see that in writing.
There is no date on this post – could have been years ago!!
Hi Susan,
It has not yet passed.
Here is the AANP Legislation Page where you can see all the active issues on a federal level. http://www.aanp.org/legislation-regulation/advocacy-center
Each of us needs to continue to make our voice heard!
