I am running for AANP President Elect and I am asking for your vote. AANP published the “Meet the Candidates” last week for AANP members to get to know the candidates up for election in March.
I would like to tell you the reasons I feel I am the best choice for AANP President Elect. My clinical experience as an FNP for 15 years in primary care has increased my passion for patients and the high quality care they deserve. The past 11 years I have been privileged to provide primary care for active duty and retired military personnel and their families on the front line of the health of those who give so much.NPs are leaders in the front lines of patient care. In my experience on local, state, regional and national levels, it is imperative to actively work together in AANP as the voice of all NPs. I will continue to tirelessly work to increase recognition of NPs as Primary and Specialty Care providers, spotlight NPs as providers of quality, accessible health care, maximize legislative efforts to allow all NPs to practice to the full extent of education including full prescriptive practice and expand communication in educating legislators, citizens and other HCPs.
Keeping our patients at the core of what we do will continue to bring NPs to the decision-making tables to effectively improve health outcomes. I respectfully request your vote as AANP President Elect. Thank you for your support.
Voting will open on March 17th and closes at midnight on March 31st. When voting opens all AANP members will receive an email link for the AANP election. There are amazing candidates in every race and I urge you to be active in the organization and vote.
