Medicare Provider Enrollment

NP Questions about MedicareMany Nurse Practitioners find the process of getting credentialed with Medicare to be confusing or downright frustrating.  A few find their dealings with Medicare to be smooth and easy, but most of us are in the confusion camp.  Here’s you chance to clear some of that confusion.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is holding a special open door forum (ODF) on February 17, 2010 at 2:00-3:00 pm Eastern Time via Conference Call Only to discuss Medicare provider enrollment issues.  Staff from CMS will discuss:

  • Internet-based Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) for physicians, non-physician practitioners and provider and supplier organizations
  • Provider and supplier reporting responsibilities
  • Medicare ordering and referring Issues
  • Revalidation efforts

Afterward, there will be an opportunity for YOU to ask questions.
