RSS Feed
Siging up for RSS feed is something not everyone is use to.
I found a great video that I’ll include here to show that will show you how to use RSS. You’ll find our feed buttons on the “Home” page, in the side bar. Just look for the orange button.

Barbara,
Thanks for putting this video about RSS feed here for us to learn about it! And the instructions on making our own website is wonderful and I am so appreciative for that also as well as all of the information you and the rest of the NPs who have contributed to the site – is all so informative and useful and can make all of us independent women in business so that we are not taken advantage of as some would like to do.
So please know that I am still hanging in there with my clinic and trying my darndest to keep my wits about me. I will have to tackle the billing when I return home from my daughter’s in Colorado. It has been a nice respite from the stress I have been under the last few months and I am dreading going back but know that I must. My patients have set up prayer lines and call often just to make sure I am still there and alive because they tell me that they will not let me quit and that God will not let me quit. I’m afraid that they don’t understand that if there is no money to pay bills, then it’s pretty much out of God’s hands and into mine to find a biller and get money coming in here quick. But they are all being so sweet and concerned that I just smile and tell them that they should keep up the prayers and send more patients because when we do start billing, we’ll need everything we can see. We have been doing a little impromptu survey of the number of walk-ins and calls we get everyday and ya’ll, if I had help, I could see somewhere between 150 and 200 patients a day easy! It boggles the mind at how many people have no insurance and how many with medicaid and medicare are not being taken by private docs and need care immediately.
By for now and keep up the good work!

Ms. Ravey I did call your office but I never got a response from you in reference to one of your emails for help… I am using student medical assistants to help me in my clinic.
I live in Mississippi and I know the laws vary from state to state but I called the local schools and these students need to get in at least 180 hours in order to sit for the certified medical assistant exam. This is an old email so I don’t know where you are in your situation right now… also one nurse practitioner that I met has been using nurse practitioner students for the last 3 or 4 years??? This is extra help but they need supervision …it is working for me
I tried to view the video but it gave gthe message that the video was removed. is it archived? it sounds like something I need.
Note to Nina: get a professional biller by all means. mine charges 5% of what she brings in, but it is still more than I got when I had it done in house. and the flow is quicker because she does electronic billing which I could not afford to do. And by all means keep the faith. You are in a ministry as well as a business. betty
Betty, thanks for the heads up on the video. I’ve replaced the code with new YouTube code and it should work now.
Re electronic billing – anyone can do for free using http://www.OfficeAlly.com. Many billing companies use them, as well as many offices.
Has anyone decided to participate in the innovative grant that is being sponsored by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid? The deadline for the letter of intent is December 19th, 2011. (tomorrow!!!!). look at this website for further details. innovations.cms.gov
I have been unable to be on recent calls so maybe this is old news but wondering if anyone out there knows of a reliable resource for grant writing?
And yes, I just submitted my very brief letter of intent!
Hi Kris,
I know of one other person who is applying. You might put a post in the forum to see if there are others. I’ll forward you some info.
