Congratulations to Dr. Scharmaine Lawson-Baker, DNP for being named 2008 Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur of the Year by Advance for Nurse Practitioners.
In March 2005, Dr. Scharmaine Lawson-Baker founded Advanced Clinical Consultants based on a mission to provide a house call to every senior or disabled person in the City of New Orleans who is not able to visit their regular primary care physician. She also founded Geriatric Initiatives, Inc., a non-profit agency formed to raise awareness to the plight of the homebound elderly and disabled of New Orleans who are still struggling to recover from Hurricane KATRINA.
It is an honor to recognize one of our community members and NPBO experts for this award. We are looking forward to speaking with Dr. Lawson-Baker on Sunday December 7th.
