House Calls Question
I’m sorry to blast this out on the blog, however, an NP wrote me with some great questions about a house call practice. However, her email did not come through on the contact form. Please contact me again and include your email address.
Thanks!

I’m sorry, It was probably me, Cecelia at clrk4@aol.com
LOL Cecelia…no it was not you. Since she wrote to me directly, I was concerned about posting her name without her permission.
NOTE: I would suggest that no one puts in their direct email as a link - too easy for the spam bots to get your email address. Instead type your email address as clrk4 (at) aol (dot) com or something similar. Better yet…get a gmail account. They are really good at catching and filtering out spam.
I wonder if I am the NP you are searching for…I have just sent you another email. Can you post it ? I have many questions re: a homecare business and would love to speak with people with some experience.
Thanks so much
Rose
Wow… who knew that the “house calls” thing would be such a hot topic. I’m an FNP in northern California eager to correspond with anyone with experience. There isn’t a practice such as this around here as far as I know but I’d love to see about starting one. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Cecelia and Jina,
You may contact me by my e-mail ninanp at bellsouth dot net and I can shed a light on the house calls business since I did that initially when I began my NP career in Louisiana. It’s very acceptable by patients and families. Make sure you make provisions for taxes to be taken out periodically or you’ll get stuck at the end of the year and that is a major headache.
Contact me and we’ll talk.
Rose I am counting you in on this also. We could maybe do a 4 way call and do a question and answer kind of thing.
Just throwing things out. Let me know.
Sincerely,
Nina Ravey
Hi,
I do housecalls, and my website is on here, www.healingpresencenp.com and I am happy to answer any questions. As I have a full time office practice, and I am a solo practitioner, I work my housecalls around my office schedule. I currently have 4 regular clients that I make housecalls for and others that I see for episodic issues. Regards, Carla Anderson, FNP-

To all,
It seems there are several people who are interested in discussing house calls. Barbara has suggested that we meet on npbusinesowner (you have to join for a nominal fee and there are many positive articles and helpful things for any business person) and we could have a brainstorming call with anyone who wanted in. Sounds like a grand idea to me. So let me know and we can set a date.
Carla, why don’t you join us also and anyone who has had experience in house calls.
Sincerely,
Nina
