NP Business Owners - A new resource

Published by bcp at 3:58 pm under NP Practice

Nurse Practitioner Business Owner, www.NPBusinessOwner.comIt’s time to spill the beans. For the past few months we have been quietly working behind the scenes on a new site that will allow us several new features…features that you have been telling us you want. While NPBusiness has provided many of you with the tools you have needed, there are just a few things we can not do here, such as:

  1. Privacy to discuss certain aspects of our business - which allows for more in-depth sharing and thus problem solving.
  2. The ability to have a committed group to attend brainstorming calls and mastermind sessions.
  3. In-depth help at getting up and running as well as moving to the next level.
  4. Access to tools and resources developed specifically for NPs and their practices.
  5. A way to effectively offer assistance for specific problems.

As some of you already know…we’ve been doing some of this behind the scenes. I’ve spoken with several of you, have assisted in ways that only another business owner can - because I’ve been there.

But what if NPs could talk freely and openly in a protected, private environment with one another? Just think of the input, ideas and networking that would take place among business owners. Let’s face it, while we are all NPs, the challenges that face NP business owners is unique.

When I started out, I had to search for information all over the place. I’ve had many of you tell me the same thing…and that NPBusiness.ORG answered many of your questions.

What if there was a site that could save you time, alleviate some of the frustration, and showed you how to avoid common mistakes? What if it also offered:

  1. Forms and templates, ready to go when you open your doors saving your hours of time.
  2. Manuals and documents that you can tweak to your particular practice, meaning that you don’t have to start with a blank sheet of paper.
  3. Videos that walk you through filling out credentialing forms, Medicare applications, using charting software, practice management systems and more.
  4. Access to other NP Business Owners who face similar challenges and understand your questions.
  5. Weekly brainstorming calls with other business owners.
  6. Access to experts various fields of business.
  7. Audio recordings with various experts and other NPs that you can download and listen to as often as you’d like.
  8. Small, highly focused, mastermind groups.

And so much more.

Well, that’s our goal. Our new site www.NPBusinessOwner.com will offer all those things and more. Go ahead and take a look. You’ll see it’s still in progress. We are still loading articles, manuals, videos and the like.

However, the need is present now. Those that are aware of the site have asked when they can get in…at least to get into the forum and start networking now.

The doors will open…soon.

Thank you so much Barbara! I can’t even imagine how you find time to do all you do. I can’t wait for the new site to be up and running. Count me in! Jan Daniel

That would be a big help, for people like me, still struggling with the idea. Way to go Barbara. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. Just have a few logistical issues to get taken care of…like making sure the security features are in place before we open the doors. I hope it will be ready in the next week or so…

But you can go there now and click on Complimenary Articles. You can listen to the replays of the recent NPInterviews. (I’ll have this weeks call up later tonight or tomorrow).

And we need to schedule the first brainstorming call…we have a request from a fellow business owner who can use some feedback.

Will this site be transitioned to the new one or will you keep managing both?

    Hi Grace,

Both sites will remain functioning. The difference is outlined in the post above.

    Way to go Barbara,

I don’t even know how you did it. Both sites are so great looking and multi functioning. Let me know what you need from me. I will be happy to provide any information you need. Carla

    Barbra,
Great work! You are amazing and must be a great practitioner for your patients!

Let me know when you are ready for the first brainstorming call and I’m there with you.

    Kudos again!
